List of Previous Goals and Progress Made

  • Website revamp: Drafts of revised publications pages are in Basecamp which Katie Buehner presented at our meeting during the MLA conference in March.
  • Strategic plan: advocacy (ethical dissemination and evolution of scholarly communication) and the value of the profession (increase the visibility of the association).
    • Progress: Work advanced but much more needs to be done.
  • Anna Kijas was appointed editor of the Technical Reports Series. She is considering adding a small editorial group to plan toward future volumes, consider scope and priorities, and provide reviewing assistance.Strategic plan: advocacy (ethical dissemination and evolution of scholarly communication) and the value of the profession (increase the visibility of the association)
    • Progress: seek individuals to participate on an editorial board.

  • Continue work on the website revamp on the whole and specifically address matters of access to our journal, Notes.
  • Strategic plan: advocacy (ethical dissemination and evolution of scholarly communication) and the value of the profession (increase the visibility of the association).
    • Promote new monographic series volumes.

    • Promote MLA Publications within MLA by hosting a reception for authors (and potential authors) at the 2022 Salt Lake City meeting.
