  • Continue developing a repository for music library instruction lesson plans.
    • This repository is now a joint project between the IS and the AMS Pedagogy Study Group. It received MLA Board approval and the pilot of it exists in Humanities Commons. There are currently twelve uploaded items and sixteen members of the public HC group.
  • Develop next steps for the Framework Working Group to present and/or publish findings of a study conducted in 2018.
    • The Framework WG decided to create a Companion to the Framework for Music. It will be presented during the MLA Annual Meeting along with several other IS initiatives.
  • Continue the work of the Online Instruction Working Group by collecting, curating, and providing information and professional development related to teaching online.
    • The Online Instruction WG collected data about online library instruction and compiled a document of ideas to support librarians new to this mode of instruction. The document will live in the Music Instruction & Pedagogy Repository.
  • Explore options for proposing and presenting instruction-related content at MLA Annual as well as regional meetings, with the possibility of expanding to a pre-conference(s) at these meetings, including the presentations “Everybody Teaches: Transfering Instructional Praxis Across Specialties and Services” and “Copyright Frames: Ways of Thinking, Ways of Teaching” (co-sponsored with Legislation Committee).
