List of Previous Goals and Progress Made

Because of the pandemic, the U.S. RILM Office Governing Board has not met since 2019. Jane Gottlieb, long-time MLA representative and current Chair, stepped down earlier this year and has been succeeded by Mark McKnight. Current membership has been updated and representatives from all contributing organizations have been appointed. McKnight has met with MLA President Vick, as well as Bonna Boettcher and Julie Schnepel of the U.S. RILM Office at Cornell, to discuss various issues.

List of Future Goals

  1. Update the governing document (now underway).
  2. Clarify chair terms and selection.
  3. Come up with ways to improve the financial stability of the U.S. RILM Office.
  4. Discuss ideas on how to get the six societies more actively involved in a supporting role.
  5. Plan for annual meetings of the Board to be held virtually, with an annual meeting to be scheduled for sometime this Fall.
