List of Previous Goals and Progress Made

  1. Continue offering merchandise through Cafe Press and Bonfire.
    • Goal met.
  2. Implement Bidding Owl for 2022 silent auction with a possible trial run offering gift cards on Giving Tuesday, November 2021.
    • Goals met.
  3. Continue to create and maintain desirable merchandise on the MLA Shop at Cafe Press and Bonfire, including Salt Lake City 2022 Annual meeting logoed merchandise.
    • Goal met–logoed merchandise reflected pivot to virtual modality.

List of Future Goals

  1. Use funds approved to order a small run of logoed socks (from Sock Guy) to offer at the silent auction in St. Louis.
    • Goal Area 2. Develop and Retain Membership.
    • Objective 2.5. Encourage member retention through targeted programs and support for member engagement at all career levels.
    • Continue sales to raise funds for MLA’s Diversity Scholarship.
  2. Use Bidding Owl for silent auction.
    • Goal Area 3. Cultivate Inclusivity.
    • Objective 3.5. Prioritize accessibility at all MLA events, in-person and virtual, and in all MLA virtual spaces.
    • Bidding Owl allows us to offer physical items for those at St. Louis, and we can offer gift cards that can be bid on virtually by any attendees and raise funds for MLA’s Diversity Scholarship.
  3. Continue to maintain LC music classification posters at the MLA Shop at Cafe Press; plan a campaign for the 2022 Annual Meeting on Bonfire targeting past popular logoed merchandise; evaluate success of partnership with Sock Guy after Annual Meeting.
