  1. Establish a mentoring program for TMLA members to be paired up with newer members to support career development and chapter involvement.
    • Discussed planning for the program at the Spring 2022 meeting.
    • Mr. Leonard Martin filled the open MLStEP Texas Chapter Liaison position.
  2. Explore hybrid options for future meetings.
    • Confirmed hybrid Fall 2022 chapter meeting at Baylor University, November 4-5.
  3. Complete Officer Handbook.
    • Vice-Chair/Chair Elect and Secretary/Treasurer additions completed.
    • Web Editor, in progress.

  1. Reformat Texas Composer Database for online access and discoverability.
    • Supports Goal 1 – Organize Strategically.
      • Objective 1.6 – Shift MLA’s publishing towards open access.
        • Investigate OA Platforms  for the Texas Composer Database.
  2. Add a section for Best Practices in Hybrid Meetings in the TMLA Officer Handbook using open access tools.
    • 1. Supports Goal 1 – Organize Strategically.
      • Objective 1.6 – Shift MLA’s publishing towards open access.
        • Investigate OA Platforms for TMLA Officer Handbook.
  3. Engage the MLStEP Texas Chapter Liaison, Mr. Leonard Martin, in the activities of the Membership Committee.
    • Supports Goal 2 – Develop and Retain Membership.
      • Objective 2.2 Offer mentorship and networking opportunities.
    • Supports Goal 3 – Cultivate Inclusivity.
