There’s still time to register for the Pre-conference in Norfolk, “Creating Linked Data for Music with RIMMF4,” a hands-on workshop led by Kathy Glennan, Mary Huismann, and Kristi Bergland designed to help catalogers, metadata librarians, and anyone who wants to better understand the new RDA toolkit and linked data.
This workshop will combine short presentations and hands-on exercises using the beta Toolkit that will help build an understanding of new RDA Toolkit structure and navigation basics with an opportunity to practice these concepts in RIMMF4 (RDA in Many Metadata Formats) using select examples from among a small selection of composers and musicians encompassing various styles of music as well as multiple content types and formats. Aggregates? Representative expressions? Bring your questions and build your skills!
The session will take place on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 from 12:30pm-4:45pm at the conference hotel. Registration is $40 for MLA/MOUG members and $50 for non-members.
NOTE: If you have already registered for MOUG and/or MLA, call the MLA Business Office at 608-836-5825 to register.
